ABOUT
"The resonance of love, the way that trees love, or plants love is Universal. This is the medicine. This is what really nourishes the World Heart"
- Alison Fast

Alison Fast is an artist based in Los Angeles, known for her deeply encoded black-and-white images, Spirit Glyphs, which bridge the invisible and visible realms, and conscious and unconscious awareness fields with the intent to connect people more deeply to themselves. Her work is informed by over twenty-five years as a documentary filmmaker and storyteller, using archetypes and symbols to invoke meaning, resonance and dimensional depths. Her journeys have taken her to more than thirty-five countries, and left the mark of deep wisdom traditions.
Her relationship to art is influenced by Vajrayana Buddhism, a fascination with concepts like Wu Wei, earth-based indigenous traditions, and a lifelong aspiration to be attuned with Nature.
Her latest collection, Butterfly Dreaming, re-imagines the symbol of a butterfly as a portal invoking multidimensional fields of vibration, frequency, and love. Each composition unfolds like a textile embroidered in space. Through the blankness of the canvas, she explores open states of awareness and the play of emptiness and form:
How much juxtaposition can a painting hold and still be cohesive? How much polarity and color can the artwork contain without becoming muddy, while retaining a clear point of view? Can one stand in the blue and still reach for and encompass sympathy for opposite tones and spectrums of color? Can there be a mutuality? A readiness to exist in a singular space even while containing multitudes? How much can the canvas contain in contrast with the blankness and impermanence at its core?
Alison recently sold out of her Spirit Glyph Oracle deck 1st edition run of 500 copies, however prints from the collection are available here.
She is currently working to bring forth an oracle card deck entitled SOUL PASSAGES from her Butterfly Dreaming Collection and forming relationships with local businesses to host original paintings, available for purchase.
