stack of butterfly acrylic paintings

The Butterfly Dreaming collection invites us to explore the multitude of incarnations and soul passages that we pass through in single lifetime and the miraculous qualities that imbue our flight path with meaning in the realization of our destiny.

Each painting, captures a spark of essence from multidimensional fields of vibration, frequency, and patterns of becoming. No two butterflies are alike; each one expresses a flight path wholly its own, yet all emerge from and return to the same Source. Working in acrylic on Arches 140 lb hot-pressed watercolor paper, I layer color and texture in patterns that resemble textiles, translating meditative states of naked awareness into form.

Spirit Glyphs is a collection of deeply encoded black-and-white images, which bridge the invisible and visible realms and conscious and unconscious awareness fields, to connect people more deeply with themselves. The collection introduces original archetypes and symbols, designed to awaken intuitive understanding and evoke new ways of being that move us in a direction of a shared dreaming on the planet.

In 2024, eighty of these images were published as a limited-edition oracle card deck, Spirit Glyph Oracle—a hand-signed, numbered series of 500 copies distributed to twenty-five Los Angeles galleries and stores.

Each symbol serves as a key for a self-guided journey, inviting viewers to retrieve codes of ancient knowing and to help give voice to a living Earth as well as our own consciousness journey. The collection is intended to serve as a path-finding tool during this time of deep reorientation and healing in the world—where old narratives dissolve and new constellations of meaning emerge.

Working in a minimalist visual language, the Glyphology collection extends the same style of rendering black-and-white glyphs to depict animals, flowers and figures such as a five-foot depiction of the Statue of Liberty and Roman Goddess, all with an N15 black marker, using the power of lines and expressive marks to bring to life the distilled essence of each subject. The forms are not static but contain codes rooted in evolutionary intelligence. The collection is designed to focus our attention on the decorative, totemic spirit of each work, and to revitalize the relationship between humans, the natural world, the animating force that moves through all living things, and knowledge encoded in our DNA.

The Flower Portal collection explores the subtle language of vibration – that which draws the bees to interdependence with the inner radiance of a bloom. There is a harmonic connection, a pulse and sensory experience that accompanies the emergent forms of Nature’s awakening, the unconditioned field of awareness of which we are a part. Earth reveals our place in the pantheon of her aliveness. Each flower is a portal, offering exploration of a world within worlds. How can we participate in this dream - the romance, creativity, exuberance of Her - and move in synchronous response with the indwelling powers of Nature?

Color becomes a language to engage viewers in the essence of the pigments themselves, the vitality of what in India they call rasas - that essence - or taste of the flavors of existence in the play of life. This series invites reflection on how to draw close to the inner vitality and Beauty of life. It recognizes the living Earth as a sentient field — and ourselves as participants within her continuum.

This collection, Signs and Wonders portrays recurring symbols, archetypes, and figures that arise from visionary experience. Each painting is born of a devotional correspondence with the Mystery: a goddess, a flight of cranes, a thunderbird in the sky, a deer crowned in blossoms. These images belong to my personal mythology celebrating the interplay of spirit & matter, nature and the divine, that which constellates a deeper subtext of experience. Signs and Wonders invite viewers to remember the palpable presence of the sacred that animates all of creation. It gathers images born from porous moments when the ordinary world becomes luminous, charged with wonder and faith in the unseen.
